The "Charm'tastic Mile" of Baltimore (Love That 1.3) www.thecharmtasticmile.com. The famed 1.3 mile corridor in the heart of downtown Charm City that connects Dwtn-West the Inner Harbor & Harbor East will be celebrating the 2nd Anniversary (9-19-21) of the 1st Ceremonial/Honorary street sign that was unveiled on September 19 2019 (9-19-19). There will be an official City-toast for the 2nd Anniversary for The "Charm'tastic Mile" at 1:19 PM near the entrance of the Inner Harbor.  


The "Charm'tastic Mile" was first introduced to the Charm City on April 25 2016. The "Charm'tastic Mile" or more simply The Mile was inspired by Famous Streets of Chicago (Michigan Avenue) and Rodeo Drive that are often referred to as one of the Top 10 Most Famous Streets in America.

The 1st Ceremonial/Honorary street sign for The "Charm'tastic Mile" was unveiled on September 19 2019. On that day (9-19-90) in 1990 the mob movie classic Goodfellas was released to theaters. In 1984 (9-19-84) on that same day the 8-time Academy Award winning film Amadeus was also released to theaters.


The "Charm'tastic Mile" is the evolution of the Charm City nickname that was coined in 1975 by then Mayor William Donald Schaefer. The entrance backdrop of the area is the University of Maryland-Baltimore Oriole Park at Camden Yards the Babe Ruth Birthplace Museum & M&T Bank Stadium. 

A collection of historic buildings luxury high rise apartments restaurants & hotels add to the entry of The "Charm'tastic Mile". The second Ceremonial sign for Dwtw-West (S. Greene & W. Pratt Street) was unveiled (12-12-19) on December 12 2019. On that day Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens broke the NFL single-season quarterback rushing record. 


The center of The Mile is the Inner Harbor with its majestic views pavilions hotels restaurants & shops. The National Aquarium World Trade Center & Science Center are Iconic attractions that are steps from The "Charm'tastic Mile".

 

The Crown Jewel and anchor of The "Charm'tastic Mile" is the Harbor East section. With an array of eclectic shops spectacular restaurants and cosmopolitan scene It's most distinguished area of downtown. The Iconic Domino Sugars neon is the backdrop of Harbor East. The third Ceremonial street sign for The Mile was unveiled on (9-9-20) September 9 2020. The Domino Sugars neon sign (4-25-1951) was introduced to the city on the same day as The "Charm'tastic Mile". On September 15 2020 The "Charm'tastic Mile" became a registered trademark with the USPTO.
