2MX2 self-styles as an “alterNATIVE pop hip-hop band,” but it’s more complicated than that. The reggaeton you hear blasting out of every window in the Caribbean is made accessible through a Colorado filter by 2MX2, but the beloved young Denver band also mixes in traditional Mexican influences, intoxicating pop, and a passion for activism and youth education. Though it has no full-length album yet, 2MX2 and its bilingual hip-hop have exhilarated Colorado crowds for a few years now, empowering listeners to be active in politics and social issues, and leap out of their seats with inspirational songs like “Si Se Puede”.
The band is composed of highly talented individuals, including Owen Trujillo (aka O1), a Mexican-born artist from Zacatecas, Denver natives Juice ET Hugo, Lolita, DMD, and Kenny O., Eastlin and Chilean/Cuban artist Adrian Garay.
Bailey Elora is a Latina singer-songwriter and powerhouse front-woman of an alternative rock band celebrated for its heartfelt storytelling, soaring vocals, and Latin-infused guitar.
Formed in Denver in 2017, the band originally began as a duo with Bailey Elora on lead vocals and Geoff Orwiler on guitar. Their sound expanded in 2019 when Alfredo “Freddy” Zamora joined as lead guitarist and vocalist, followed soon after by his younger brother Isaac Zamora, adding rhythmic depth and backing vocals. With the new lineup, Geoff shifted to bass, solidifying the group’s evolving sonic identity. In 2020, drummer James Romine came on board, completing the band’s current formation.
Together, Bailey Elora, Freddy Zamora, Isaac Zamora, Geoff Orwiler, and James Romine craft an alternative rock sound that blends emotional intensity, indie sensibility, and vibrant Latin influences—delivering performances that are both cinematic and soul-stirring.
