Creative Sculpture & Castings: 2D Miniature WorkshopInstructor: Kent Arblaster

This workshop will take place over two days (Saturday, October 22nd and Sunday, October 23rd from 1:00-4:00 pm)

In this 2-day workshop, learn how to design and create your own 2D artwork inspired by J. Andre Smith's Maitland Art Center reliefs. On day one, you will tour the Maitland Art Center and select one of Smith's reliefs to replicate. Afterward, create a miniature version of the relief in wax sculpture and make a silicone rubber mold. On day two, you will mix and pour acrylic into your mold for curing and finish your art with paints, dyes, and other decorative materials.

Workshop is for adults 18 and over. Registration is $75 (materials and tools included, pewter available for purchase at $5 per piece).
