About this Event
Kyiv Konnection - the 29th annual Fundraising Banquet organized by the Ukrainian Foundation for College Education (UFCE). Your contribution will support the work of the Ukrainian Resource and Development Centre (URDC) at MacEwan University to assist students and faculty affected by the war in Ukraine.
Keynote speaker:
Dr. Jeffrey Stepnisky
Dr. Jeff Stepnisky is an associate professor at MacEwan University and a Kule Chair of Ukrainian Community and International Development Research, specializing in sociological theory, selfhood, and identity. His research focuses on the Ukrainian Revolution of Dignity and collective memory, exploring its impact on societal dynamics. Dr. Stepnisky's interdisciplinary approach, deeply rooted in engaging with both the community and academia, serves as a great example of a genuine exchange of ideas between Canada and Ukraine. Through his work, he not only enriches academic conversations but also deepens societal understanding.
