The Puerto Rican Arts Alliance proudly presents the 28th National Cuatro Festival Puertorriqueño at the Harris Theater, celebrating this year's theme, Nuestro Cuatro, Baile y Tradición (Our Cuatro, Dance, and Tradition).
This celebration brings the spirit of Puerto Rico's plazas to Chicago through the island's rich traditions of music, dance, and culture. Audiences will experience the beauty and artistry of the Puerto Rican cuatro alongside vibrant folkloric dance, Bomba, Plena, and jíbaro music that have connected generations of Puerto Ricans on the island and throughout the diaspora.
This year's festival features a special appearance by Areyto Ballet Folklórico Nacional de Puerto Rico, one of the island's premier folkloric dance companies. Traveling from Puerto Rico with an ensemble of more than 30 dancers and musicians, Areyto will present breathtaking choreography, live music, and storytelling that honor the traditions, resilience, and cultural identity of Puerto Rico.
