27TH New Year Firecracker Ceremony & Cultural Festival

The 27th New Year Firecracker Ceremony & Cultural Festival is scheduled for Wednesday January 29 2025 from 11:00 AM to 3:30 PM at Sara D. Roosevelt Park located at Chrystie and Grand Streets in New York City's Chinatown.

Event Highlights:

• Firecracker Ceremony: The festivities commence with a traditional firecracker display aimed at warding off evil spirits and welcoming the Lunar New Year.
• Cultural Performances: Attendees can enjoy a variety of cultural performances including lion and dragon dances which are integral to Lunar New Year celebrations.
• Festival Booths: From 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM festival booths will be set up along Bayard Street between Mulberry and Mott Streets offering traditional foods souvenirs and cultural exhibits.

The event is free and open to the public.
