Thank you for joining us for the 25th Annual La Crosse Open on Saturday, June 20, 2026!
The La Crosse Open strives for a premier athlete and spectator experience.
Before moving forward with registration, please read important competition rules and details:
REGISTRATION
- Pro registration will be open from April 20, 2026 through June 7th, 2026. No late registrations accepted.
- Pro Applicants must maintain a US Log Rolling/ILRA ranking. Applications are subject to review by the Coulee Region Logrolling Advisory Board and the La Crosse Area Family Y.
- 100% of registration fees go back to the La Crosse Open.
ORGANIZATION AND RANKINGS
- The La Crosse Open is a Level 1 Tournament sanctioned by the US Log Rolling Association. Pro applicants are required to have a current paid membership and have a standing ranking by the US Log Rolling Association.
- Applicants without a paid USLRA membership on June 7th, 2025 will not be eligible to compete at the 2025 La Crosse Open.
SCHEDULE (Central Standard Time)
- 8:30-9:15 AM: Check-In (Athletes under 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian)
- 8:45-9:45 AM: Open Warm Ups
- 10:00 AM: National Anthem
- Immediately following National Anthem: Preliminary Matches (Front Bracket)
- 12:00 PM: Introduction of Semi-Finalists
- Semi-Finals, Finals
- Immediately following Finals: Back bracket
- 3:30 PM: Amateur Logrolling (we invite you to stick around and cheer on the next generation!)
DOUBLE ELIMINATION ORDER AND WARM-UPS
- Semi-Finals and Finals will be held at 12:00 PM CST again this year for best audience exposure. There will be a break until 12:00 if preliminary matches finish early.
- Ten or more logs (both spike and carpet) will be available for warm up use during the pro competition. Pro athletes cannot enter the warm up area after the Amateur competition begins in the afternoon.
RULES AND REGULATIONS
- Pro competition will follow a double elimination bracket and US Log Rolling rules.
- Competitor shirts will be provided, however, athletes are not required to wear them. Athletes can wear their preferred, appropriate athletic attire.
- Spike logs will be used for professional competition. Pro athletes must compete in spiked shoes.
- Bracket draws will take place upon publication of current USLRA rankings.
ATHLETE AREA
- Check-In: Athletes will check in at a registration table. Competitors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a legal parent or guardian at check-in.
- Upon Check-In, competitors will be directed to the Athlete Area, which will be held further to the side of competition this year. Please use this area to camp out for the day. Logs will be available at the athlete area for warm-ups throughout the entire pro competition.
- Due to athlete feedback in 2026, there will be a designated viewing area just for athletes!
- Please refrain from sitting in front of event/sponsorship banners or blocking viewing of fans during the tournament. Thank you for your support in making the La Crosse Open fan experience a great one!
PRIZE PAYOUT
Prize money will be distributed on Monday, June 22nd by mail or in-person at the La Crosse Area Family Y at 1:00 PM.
- 1st Place - $1700.00
- 2nd Place - $1200.00
- 3rd Place - $800.00
- 4th Place - $500.00
- 5th Place - $400.00
- 6th Place - $275.00
- 7th Place - $250.00
- 8th Place - $225.00
- Medals will be presented to the TOP 5 Men's and Women's finishers on the dock at the conclusion of the pro tournament.

FOOD AND VENDORS
- Healthy snack and breakfast items will be provided at Check-In and during the pro competition in the athlete area (first come, first serve)
- FREE hot dogs, brats, sides, and treats will be served throughout the day. Treat yourself after a long day of competition and consider a donation to the La Crosse Logrolling program!
- Food, drink, and coffee vendors will also be onsite. 2026 Vendors include Festival Foods (free brats, hot dogs, sides, and treats for the first 500 fans), Dunkin' (free iced coffee and munchkins), lemonade from Coulee Lemon Co, a Taco Truck, and more!
