25th Annual Brides' March for Gladys Ricart & Victims of Domestic Violence

Join us for the 25th annual Brides March - a 7-mile memorial walk through NYC to support survivors of domestic violence. The Brides’ March began in 2001 in honor of Gladys Ricart, murdered on her wedding day by a jealous ex. For 25 years, we’ve walked to break the silence on intimate partner violence. We grieve, build community, and demand change.

This year, we are growing from grassroots into a full-fledged service provider, focusing on communities too often left out—youth, men, and homicide survivors. We invite you to support this year’s expansion by donating $25 for our 25th year to help us meet our $50K goal and expand our legacy.

Únase a nosotros para la 25 Marcha Anual de Novias, una caminata conmemorativa de 7 millas por la ciudad de Nueva York para apoyar a los sobrevivientes de la violencia doméstica.La Marcha de las Novias comenzó en 2001 para honrar a Gladys Ricart, asesinada por un ex celoso el día de su boda. Info: Attendees eat breakfast and put on bridal gowns. Healing practitioners will uplift DV homicide victims and provide support to their loved ones.

Info: Includes a stop to honor the memory of Ramona Elizabeth Rodriguez.

Info: March to stop in front of The Bronx Supreme Court for approx. 35mins for speakers and lunch.
Provided lunch includes water and choice of a cheese, ham, or turkey sandwich. Walking resumes at 12:30pm.

Info: Walk to125th St. to the Adam Clayton Powell Jr. State Office Building Plaza on Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard. Snacks, bathrooms, and rest stops available.

Info: Walk to the Julia de Burgos Cultural Center, where dinner will be provided along with a closing ceremony.
