Let's celebrate the Jazz Club's 25th Anniversary with the Society Syncopators Dance Orchestra!This amazing 11-piece orchestra plays 1920s and early 1930s Jazz, great for all sorts of Swing dancing as well as Foxtrot and Quickstep. The band has played last in Edinburgh in 2017, so we're absolutely thrilled to bring them back!
Before this musical gig, we'll have a history event, a conversation about "How Swing dancing came to Edinburgh", with Jamie Davies, Kathy Harrison, Michelle Davies and Rhona Davies.
The Edinburgh Jazz 'n Jive Club offers on Fridays live Jazz music in a relaxed club house atmosphere, with a bar and an excellent, wooden dance floor. The music is generally suitable for dancing Foxtrot and Swing (Lindy Hop, Shag, Balboa). Come along to listen to superb Jazz and to dance the evening away!
The main entrance is from Bangholm Terrace, with step-free access from Warriston Gardens corner Inverleith Row.
