This is a musical double act: We'll have first the Maid of the Forth Stompers, playing classic and Trad Jazz, followed by King Louis and the Primas, serving up entertaining Swing Jazz. Expect a fantastic mix of music for both listening and dancing!
Before this musical gig, we'll have a free history talk: How Jazz music came to Edinburgh, by Graham Blamire and Norrie Thomson, starting at 18:45
The Edinburgh Jazz 'n Jive Club offers on Fridays live Jazz music in a relaxed club house atmosphere, with a bar and an excellent, wooden dance floor. The music is generally suitable for dancing Foxtrot and Swing (Lindy Hop, Shag, Balboa). Come along to listen to superb Jazz and to dance the evening away!
The main entrance is from Bangholm Terrace, with step-free access from Warriston Gardens corner Inverleith Row.
