This event will occur on September 24, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Heritage Call - Capitol Visitor's Center, located on the ground floor of the Michigan State Capitol.Olmstead v. L.C. is the most important U.S. Supreme Court case for people with disabilities. We are celebrating 25 years of people with disabilities having the right to live, work and receive services in their communities.

Resource tables and advocacy leaders available in the Atrium. Beverages and networking in the Heritage Room.
12:00 PM
Lunch will be provided. Speakers include:
- Nicole Jorwic, Chief of Advocacy and Campaigns for Caring Across Generations
- Mark McWilliams, Director of Advocacy, Disability Rights Michigan
- Shanta’ Favors, Ms. Wheelchair Michigan 2024
- Dan Wojciak, Supervising Attorney, MI Choice, CTS and PACE Ombudsman Program, Michigan Elder Justice Initiative
- Individuals who use community services and caregivers who provide them.
OUR GOAL: Seal our commitment to fully achieving the Olmstead mandate with a state plan for building the home and community-based services system that Michiganders deserve.
