Join us on Saturday 21 March as we mark and celebrate 25 years to the day since local people refused to accept the closure of Govanhill Baths — beginning one of the most remarkable community campaigns in Scottish history.
As we did in 2001, we gather on Calder Street once again with neighbours, friends, families, and everyone who cares about the pool.
The right to swim means a right to health. This year we urge funders and the government to step up — to invest in this beloved and much needed building and finalise its completion, so it can once again serve the community for another 100 years and more. Come and celebrate our milestones of organising, fundraising and keeping the building alive, while we look ahead to the next steps to reopen the baths.

- A launch of the Friends of Govanhill Baths
- Speeches: hear more about the stories of people who have sustained the campaign across decades
- A light projection on the building at 7pm
