The Roland McConnell Branch is the Baltimore City chapter of the Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH). Since 2001, we have interpreted and collected Black History for social, educational, and religious institutions. Our branch is named after Dr. Roland McConnell, who personally knew Dr. Carter G. Woodson, the founder of Black History Month and ASALH. Dr. McConnell was a history professor at Morgan State University.
