250th Anniversary Celebration of the Dobbin House

On August 26, 1776, Reverend Alexander Dobbin completed and consecrated his iconic home. On that exact date in 2026, the Dobbin House, Gettysburg’s oldest building, will celebrate its 250th anniversary along with 50 years of dedicated stewardship.
- Recreation of Reverend Dobbin’s original blessing of his historic home
- Colonial era music featuring Troubadour John Durant
- Self-guided historic house tours
- Visitors can enjoy a celebratory birthday cake!
- Evening dinner lecture with historian Tim Smith on James Gettys & the founding of Gettysburg 6pm-8pm (tickets purchased through Gettysburg History)
- From 7:30 pm–9:30 pm enjoy Traditional Irish & Scottish folk music performed by “Across the Pond”
