Mexico 2000 Ballet Folklórico will present its new and spectacular artistic production entitled “25 Years of Tradition.” A journey through the culture of Mexico, a country with an ancestral mix of cultures and traditions that endure. Dances and typical costumes from different regions will be exhibited on stage, creating an enchanted atmosphere of magic, light and color of our traditional Mexico. With a cast of more than 100 dancers and live music, from Jalapa Veracruz Grupo Nimbe and Mariachi Jaliscience from Dallas, TX. This is a show that will highlight the new productions from Yucatan, Jopala Puebla, Tixtla Guerrero, Durango, Huasteco Veracruzano and Hidalguense, Huapango Arribeño from San Luis Potosí, Nayarit, Veracruz, the Mayas and a representation of a traditional Mexican Charra wedding in Jalisco. We invite you to come and celebrate the 25th anniversary of Mexico 2000 with our 75th production. Ballet Folklórico Mexico 2000 has strived to preserve and promote our culture in the communities of North Texas for the past 25 years, having earned the designation of “Masterpiece” by the National Endowment for the Arts.
