About this Event

This 25-hour Advanced Fascia Training is designed for yoga teachers who want to deepen their understanding of the body beyond muscles and bones, and into the dynamic, responsive system of connective tissue that shapes how we move, feel, and adapt.
Fascia is not just a layer or a line. It is a continuous, living network that transmits force, stores energy, senses change, and responds to load, stress, hydration, and experience. This training explores fascia as both a physical structure and a sensory organ, helping you understand why movement is never isolated and why the body rarely behaves in straight lines.
Rather than focusing on memorizing fascial “maps,” we will explore how tension distributes through the body, how movement patterns emerge, and how variability, rhythm, and elasticity play a role in efficient, resilient movement.
This is where anatomy becomes less about parts and more about relationships.
What you will learn:
• The structure and function of fascia, including superficial, deep, and visceral layers
• How fascia contributes to force transmission, elasticity, recoil, and energy efficiency
• The role of fascia in proprioception, interoception, and body awareness
• How hydration, load, and movement variability influence fascial health
• Why the body moves in spirals, slings, and chains rather than isolated segments
• An introduction to fascial lines and why they are useful—but not absolute
• How repetitive movement, injury, and stress can influence fascial adaptability
• The relationship between fascia, the nervous system, and perceived stiffness or restriction
• How to incorporate multidirectional, elastic, and exploratory movement into practice
• The difference between stretching muscle tissue and working with fascial systems
• Practical applications of fascial principles in yoga sequencing and class design
This training includes:
• Experiential movement labs exploring elasticity, recoil, and fluid movement
• Applied anatomy and connective tissue theory
• Self-myofascial exploration and release techniques
• Variability-based movement practices (spirals, waves, oscillations)
• Case discussions and integration into real-world teaching
• Teaching methodology focused on language, creativity, and adaptability
• Opportunities to experiment, play, and rethink how movement is approached
By the end of this training, participants will leave with a more integrated understanding of the body as a connected system, along with practical tools to support more fluid, responsive, and adaptable movement in themselves and their students.
