Let the clocks start ticking! WA Youth Theatre Company presents the 10th year anniversary of its annual signature event, 24Hour Play Generator. This is a highly anticipated event on the local theatre calendar.One week prior to the performance, emerging playwrights work for 12 hours straight to create short plays, under the tutelage of experienced dramaturgs. Six winning plays are distributed to six directors, and then at 7am on Saturday 30 May those directors commence an intensive 12-hour rehearsal period, each with a designated WAYTCo member cast, and a designated rehearsal space within Subiaco Arts Centre.
Finally, at the 24th hour, audience members arrive to enjoy six world premieres in one evening: The freshest work in the state!
