WELCOME TO THE CIRCUS!! HERE'S THE LOW DOWN.
Welcome to the 5th running of the '24 Hours of LeMini's' The world's ONLY 24 hour, off-road mini-bike race. YES, this is a FULL 24 hour endurance race for mini-bikes & contraptions.
What is a minibike you ask?
A mini-bike is defined as a Coleman, Motovox, Baja or clone; driven by a 6.5hp Predator, Honda or clone that is pull-start, with a Centrifugal-clutch or Torque Coverter. If you have a "big block" bike running a 390CC-420CC engine, that's cool too, the big criteria for entry is a pull start "industrial" engine like you'd find on log splitters, pressure washers, generators, etc.
What is not a minibike?
Any bike that has gears or a Kick-start. Yes, this includes pit bikes of any size. Engines that are native to power sports (ATV, dirt bike, motorcycle) are a hard pass. This same statement applies to all mini bikes, contraption and go karts.
Multi-wheeled contraptions are allowed if they meet the Gambler spirit of competition (the weirder, the better) . ATV's are a no-go, but mowers, certain buggies and death-karts are cool.
If your Go-kart is a native two seater or large kart reach out prior to dragging to the event.
Keep in mind that karts and contraptions are an Exhibition Class at a MiniBike Event!
If you are not sure about any type of vehicle you’re bringing please reach out to John Moore or Wiskeena Toestrap
Full entry into the facility, and camping for the weekend is $20 per person. Team registration and (1) issued number plate is $20 for the event (solo, team or contraption). You will need your team's plate to be on track.
All transactions are CASH, cell service is too sketchy for apps, and we don't take cards.
Gates open Friday, at 1:00PM to set up and camp the night before. *Gate will be closed at 11:00PM Friday.* If you can't make it by then, get in touch with the coordinators personally *before* the event, and we'll work something out case by case.
Saturday the gates open at 8:00 AM. If you get there earlier than that, be prepared to experience staff in an uncaffeinated state if they're even awake...... or alive. They may even tell you the whole thing has been cancelled and to go home. Try again (with a different person) after 8:00
Each and every person through the gate will have a wrist band and a signed and dated waiver. This will be done as you enter the property; go with the flow, proceed through the line, stay in your vehicle, and we'll get everyone signed in as quickly as possible.
Race registration will be held at the "Hog Pen"; you'll go right by it as you sign in. Once you find a spot and set up camp, come on back, get your team registered and get your number plate. Only the person holding the team's $20 is needed to register, you'll also want to know how many are on the team, what class you're running in, and the team name. If you do not have a team name, or it takes longer than 8.7 seconds to come up with one, a team name will be assigned that could possibly haunt your legacy for generations, come prepared.
MANDATORY drivers meeting Saturday at 9:30AM. Race starts at 10:00AM.
If you have a two-wheeled thingy that does not fit the strict definition of a mini-bike, reach out to the Judges to ensure it qualifies and will not over-power the course.
Required equipment: helmet, long pants, closed toed shoes, eye protection and gloves.
A functional mounted headlight is required to be on the track after dark. There has been leniency and loose interpretations for "headlight" in previous events. Trust us on this..... your Hello Kitty flashlight duct taped to the handlebars ain't gonna cut it. You will want a real light.
NEW CLASS THIS YEAR!!!!
CATEGORIES:
IRONMAN (one rider, unlimited bikes)
TEAM-STANDARD (2-4 riders, unlimited bikes)
TEAM-UNLIMITED (5 or more riders, unlimited bikes)
GO-KART CLASS (Stockish karts. Not homemade)
CONTRAPTION CLASS (any multi-wheeled thingy other than minibike)
Teams are allowed unlimited spare bikes and parts. If you switch bikes, you must move your number plate to the active bike to enter the track.
TWO Champs this year!
-Overall lap count/miles
-Grand Champion! Most points! This is the Gambler Spirit!
Points are awarded during challenges, shenanigans, costumes, hospitality, bribing the judges, volunteering, and anything else that fits the creed of the Gambler 500 spirit. These points will be rolled into the lap count, so you'll still want to get out there and log in some miles.

MANDATORY:
Teams are required to help run the event. Each team will be tasked with providing manpower to run safety or recovery or whatever during the event.
Sign up for volunteers will be at registration. Shifts will be 2 or 3 hours depending on the time slot. Solo riders are exempt from this requirement. If a team forgets to supply a volunteer, then we may forget how to add when we do your lap count.
If your volunteer does not show to their shift an undecided amount of laps, miles or points may be deducted. This is important! Set an alarm, write it on your forehead, do whatever it takes to keep your volunteers on schedule, we can't go hunting them down and keep a race going.
The race will be red flagged at predetermined times to facilitate on track shenanigans and challenges, this is a continuation of the event, so pay attention to the schedule and have your challenge rider ready to go, these things can move fast and may be over before you can get back to the track with a fresh layer of butt chafe paste. Have your next rider ready to go as well, since the green flag flies as soon as we're done.
With the change of venue comes some slight changes to the overall event.
Race entry and exit. There is a gate onto the track where we have a “pit road” setup. This is for slow down and accelerate onto the track only.
You may not enter the track any other way. Safety gear (shoes, helmet, gloves, eye protection) will be checked at this point.
Lap count
This is where your event assigned, team number plate is critical.
As the rider leaves the track, you will report your laps, at that time, to the "Pit Marshal". Kinda like a Walmart greeter. Welcome to Costco…I love you.
At no other time will laps be accounted for. Make sure you report before exiting the pits.
We will have someone at the pit road entry to make sure that proper gear is worn and laps are tracked.
This change makes the entire lap tracking process easier for us, and easier for you. Win-Win
Venue rules and guidelines.
We are very fortunate to be able to use this Farm for our event this year. The owners are excited and very accommodating.
To respect their land we have some things that we must follow.
NO ground fires. You must have some sort of fire pit. Old wheel, fit pit, bbq, barrel, etc… You must take it with you after the event.
Leave *nothing* behind, this includes zip tie ends, snipped wires, electrical tape, (yes, we found those and picked them up for you last year)
NO burn outs, donuts, speeding of any type outside of the track area. You will be removed from the event.
Leave the cows alone. Fireworks are a no-go, we don't want any midnight cattle round ups out on the road. We must stay in our designated area.
Gate will be closed after 11pm Friday and Saturday. We would like to keep in and out traffic to a minimum.
Extra points!!
Multiple sign up for volunteer
Bribing the judges.
Seriously, this event was amazing the first four times around, so you know it's gonna be crazier..
We're expecting to see some of the heavy hitter teams making 500 miles this year. Bring your "A" game.
Make sure you click "interested or going" to stay in the loop.
Keep tabs on the event "Discussion" tab, especially as we get into the final weeks, there's a lot of details and additional info that get talked about, be a part of the hype.
Come out and have some fun. It's a Gambler event, so nothing will go according to plan, but that's part of the plan. WTF & ABG!
