24 Hour Project (performance)
Schedule
Sat, 12 Apr, 2025 at 07:30 pm
UTC-05:00Location
CVTG - Chippewa Valley Theatre Guild | Eau Claire, WI
That's 24 hours!!
Writers, directors, actors, and set designers will meet at 7:30 pm to choose a theme, location, and meet their teams.
Everybody goes home but the writers. The playwrights write all night, incorporating writing challenges as well as the theme and location that were picked.
The 10-15 page scripts are handed off to the directors in the morning, then the actors rehearse all day and perform the next evening!
There is also visual art and music, created in the same timeframe based on the same theme/location and writing challenges!
Sound like fun? GREAT!
Come see what we make ❤
The performance is April 12th at 7:30 pm
Tickets are $15 at the door or get them here: https://volumeonetickets.org/e/24-hour-project/tickets

For Plays:
Playwrights will write all night incorporating writing challenges, a theme and location, and then hand off their scripts to a director in the morning. Actors/Directors will rehearse all day Saturday and perform that evening. In the past, each short play was about 10-15 minutes.
For Musicians:
You will need to incorporate the writing challenges, theme and location into your pieces—how you incorporate them is totally up to you! Rehearse all day Saturday and perform Saturday evening. In the past, musicians have created about 3 songs/15 minutes of material.
Visual Artists:
You will need to incorporate the writing challenges, theme and location into your pieces—how you incorporate them is totally up to you! Your art will be displayed before/after the performance on Saturday evening.
Poets:
You will need to incorporate the writing challenges, theme and location into your pieces—how you incorporate them is totally up to you! You can read your poetry live on stage Saturday evening or we can record it to be played Saturday evening during the performance.
Interested in participating, but want to make music, poetry, visual art or something else instead of a short play? Sign up with the same link and let’s get you involved!
