24 Doors | Blackfriars

Located in a former Dominican friary dating back to the 13th century, Blackfriars is one of the city’s best-loved restaurants and they’re inviting us lucky Geordies for a behind-the-scenes one-hour tour of the historic building as part of NE1’s 24 Doors of Christmas. 

Learn all about the turbulent yet fascinating history of this unique venue – from its medieval past to the present day – and stop by Blackfriars’ magnificent banquet hall which was once frequented by royals including King Henry III and King Edward III. 

The one-hour tour begins at 10am and guests will receive a complimentary cup of tea or coffee.
