23rd Annual Pine Island Elementary Fishing Tournament & Derby-Registration

The Matlacha Hookers are proud to host the:

Adults must register for the tournament on the "iAngler" app. You have until 6pm Saturday, November 5th when the Captains meeting will be at the Olde Fish House Marina in Matlacha. It's required for the Team's captain or one of the anglers from the team to attend the meeting . Light fare will be provided by the Olde Fish House Restaurant for the Captains Meeting and will have raffles, 50/50, cold beverages, and go over the rules and regulations for the following day's fishing C.P.R regulations. Team's will pick up their bags stocked full of goodies including a tournament shirt for each member of their team! For $75 an angler, you get to have a great time on the water, then enjoy live music, raffles, silent auction, cold beverages and B.B.Q. with all the fixin's back at the Olde Fish House. Teams can be on the water at 6am with an honor start, where you will be catching your fish and submitting photo's for a "TOTAL INCHES" tournament on the "iAngler" app!! Fishing for cash prizes for the longest Snook, Redfish and Trout. The longest combined length of all three species will be awarded the Grand Slam. Good luck to all!

This event is held each year to raise monies for the Pine Island Elementary School's accelerated reading program and educational tools. Over the last decade, we have donated over $200,000 which allowed for after school tutoring, stocking their library, supporting educational field trips, providing supplemental educational materials, and scholarships. Principal Dr. Thomas Millins stated that "the Matlacha Hookers have been able to provide the school, teachers, and children with countless opportunities that otherwise would not have been possible."

              PINFISH = 2nd & 3rd Graders            Fishing from 10:45AM- 12:00 noon

              SHRIMP = K & 1st Graders                 Fishing from 12:15PM - 1:15PM       

 Your Tax deductible sponsor donation entitles each child to a Fishing Rod & Reel (to keep); All the bait required to catch that big one; trophies; Free Lunch; Special T-shirt; an entry for a drawing for a new Bicycle; Kids Activities eg: Face Painting; Games; T-Shirt Painting; Jewelry Making, and more.

 Derby participants fish from the dock at the Olde Fish House Marina. They will be provided guidance and they will all be given the same bait.
