Two days and over 250 miles of great dual sport riding on the scenic trails, forest roads, 4wd routes and mountain highways located in the Pike National Forest to view the awesome autumn colors of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. 23rd Annual Awesome Autumn Dual Sport Ride

The Awesome Autumn Dual Sport Ride is a Fundraising Event Sponsored by the Rampart Range Motorcycle Management Committee (RRMMC)
Saturday morning we will start from the Sprucewood Inn and ride over a variety of trails, mining roads, forest service roads and county roads to Cañon City, Colorado. Several new sections of trail have been added to this year’s route. Lunch will be provided along the route. Your luggage will be transported to Cañon City for you and when you arrive in Cañon City later in the day, your luggage and room will be waiting for you. You can request your roommate, or we will buddy you up with a roommate. We will have dinner and give out awards Saturday evening.
Sunday morning, after breakfast at the motel, we will depart for the return trip back to the Sprucewood Inn on a different route. We will follow a series of county and forest service roads that will provide ample opportunity to stop and look at the fall colors and take pictures. Lunch will be provided along the route. This is sure to be an epic ride!
SCHEDULE:
Check in Saturday morning 6:30am – 7:30am (must be pre-registered) at the Sprucewood Inn Breakfast available between 6:30am and 7:30am
Riders meeting at 8:00am, group photo at 8:15am, riders leave between 8:15am & 8:30am
Dinner, awards and prizes at 7:00pm at Pizza Madness in Cañon City
Bikes are impounded Saturday evening
Sunday morning riders meeting at 8:30am, riders leave between 8:45am & 9:00pm
RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT:
Helmet, proper boots, eye protection, warm gloves, suitable coat, rain gear, long underwear, sunscreen, water system, tools, spare tube etc. Riders must have proper equipment for mountain conditions.
EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE RAIN OR SHINE. (No Refunds)
All motorcycles should be “Street Legal”, have a USFS approved spark arrestor and a Colorado OHV permit.
All riders must have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
Be prepared for conditions ranging from passing snow squalls to hot and sunny. Sunny is typical.
Account for changes in elevations between 7,500-13,000 ft. for jetting and physical limitations.
Two-way traffic will exist on OHV designated trails and all roads.
