𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗺 & 𝗩𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝟮𝟱 𝗙𝗣𝗦 heads into its 22nd year! It is set to take place at Zagreb's Kinoteka Cinema, with programs from September 22 to 26, 2026, with the official opening event at Histrionski dom (Ilica 90) where the pioneer of expanded cinema 𝐆𝐮𝐲 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐰𝐢𝐧 will perform his seminal work 𝑀𝑎𝑛 𝑊𝑖𝑡ℎ 𝑀𝑖𝑟𝑟𝑜𝑟.
In addition to programs at Studio-Gallery Klet and the Academy of Fine Arts, the Festival is proud to present a very special two-day seminar, 𝐷𝑖𝑠𝑝𝑒𝑟𝑠𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑠, to take place immediately prior to the Festival, on September 21 and 22, at Surogatkino KIC (Preradovićeva ulica 5).

A total of 25 experimental films have been divided into six programs: Missing Parts, Elsewhere, Force Lines, Metamorphoses, Present Imperfect & Land, Lens, Empire.

A competitive section for Croatian experimental cinema brings together 8 films by filmmakers both new and well-known.

Our Grand Jury members - British filmmaker Alia Syed, Spanish programmer Gloria Vilches & Argentinian-American film historian and curator Federico Windhausen - will present their programs specially curated for 25 FPS.

Cinema expands this year with three performances by British master of audiovisual experiments Guy Sherwin, Singaporean musician and filmmaker Lynn Loo & Spanish image-moving composer Luis Macías.

Guy Sherwin and Lynn Loo are presenting their 𝐶𝑜𝑛𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑠𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑠, a digital program of their analogue-digital collaborations, showcasing another side to their practice as artists filmmakers.

A special feature-length treat awaits us with Carlos Casas' Krakatoa, hybrid film composed of a speculative fiction, documentary sonic narrative and abstract scientific imaging, built around a testimony from a survivor of the last Krakatoa eruption in 2018.
