This is a special day that is designed to cater to riders that are looking for a mellow day on the track, with many riders on their street bikes. This is an educational day, not a race day. The beginner group is an amazing opportunity for a first-timer to experience the track. The structure of this day was born back in 2004, at that time track days weren't attended by street riders, or as popular as they are today. I met with the team at SportbikeTrack Time and we came up with a plan to offer their beginner program and create a "1st Track Day" for the whole group. We had 37 riders that day, only 3 of whom had previously ridden on a track. The day was a great success with no crashes and lots of smiles as the riders had the chance to explore their machines with the help of the STT coaching staff. That spirit and program have continued as the day has evolved. This is not a race day.
Since 2004 we have put over 350 people on the track for the 1st time. If you have never been to the track, but you like twisty roads and are curious about doing a track day this event is for you.
Group 2 is for folks that have ridden at the track previously, but consider themselves street riders and are looking for a track experience free of drama, with plenty of room. There are guidelines for passing and proximity to other riders. This group also comes with optional classroom sessions. I highly recommend the classroom sessions. This is where STT really shines, the educational portion of their program is the finest in the industry.
Group 3 is "quick and polite" - this is a group for track day riders and racers that want to bring out their street or track bike and enjoy a less dense, more courteous experience than one would expect on a normal track day.

Show up early and hang out on Sunday.

Todd Pugh and the team at Shiny Side Up Law are generously sponsoring a Pig Roast on Sunday night. Dinner is at 6 pm. Our friend John Klunk has sponsored our lunch. If you see Todd or John please give them a wave or thumbs up!
We will do our track walk after dinner at 7 pm. Coaching legend Chris "K3" Onwiler shares the nuances of the track.
We provide a catered lunch and cold water and Gatorade throughout the day. We'll have a pit set up with chairs and awnings as well. We also have a photographer there that will provide a link with hundreds of pics of all of the action.
We will have a block of rooms at a local hotel. Details on that will follow. I'll be camping at the track. Camping at the track costs $5 at the gate.
