Beautify Chula Vista Day is a dynamic community cleanup event organized by the City of Chula Vista and the South Bay Sustainable Communities Network and made strong by thousands of enthusiastic volunteers.This is a great opportunity for students to earn community service hours and for residents to get involved by lending a helping hand in their community. Participants must provide their own transportation, wear appropriate clothing and shoes, bring work gloves, refillable water bottle, and snacks or lunch. Now celebrating its 21st year in 2024, this event has made an extensive impact on the City of Chula Vista as a whole, having reached dozens of focus areas with plans to continue on its path to make a difference for the future. Each year continues to be successful with the help of our dedicated volunteers who continue to beautify Chula Vista, one project at a time!
In 2023, over 400 volunteers came out to help remove thousands of pounds of debris! Volunteers also painted out graffiti and removed litter throughout neighborhoods, creeks, and canyons.
