Celebrating 20 Years of Bringing a Taste of Poland to the Heart of Melbourne! 🤍❤️
Melbourne's Polish community are celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Polish Festival @ Fed Square in the best way they know how - with a huge party! 🎉 A showcase of Poland's famous hospitality, hearty food and romantic traditions, the festival, organised by the dedicated efforts of volunteers from the Polish community in Victoria, features song and dance, merchandise and culinary delights, guaranteed to transport you to the historical town squares of Europe.
The Main Square hums with lively Old-World atmosphere. Enjoy live music and the swirling colours of traditional dancers, as well as unique shopping opportunities. From exquisite amber jewellery to unique Bolesławiec ceramics, and talented local artisans displaying their handcrafted wares, this truly is a market like no other. The Edge will feature an array of local and international artists. Enjoy the sounds of jazz or be swept away by beautiful Chopin etudes played by some of Australia's top pianists. 🎵💃🏻🪗
Take the kids (and the young at heart) along to KidStop, where they can get their face painted or join in the fun at the interactive photo booth. There are arts and crafts activities for the kids, where they can make wianki (wreaths) and masks of Smok Wawelski (the Wawel Dragon). 🐉
A taste of Polish hospitality would be nothing without the fantastic food and beer. Indulge in the mouth-watering foods on offer such as pierogi (stuffed dumplings), bigos (hunter's stew) and Kiełbasa (sausage), as well as a huge assortment of traditional cakes and pastries. It’s guaranteed you will leave with a love for Polish food. Spend time with friends and make some new ones in the Beer Garden with a variety of Polish beers available. 🥟🍻
