Every year, Drug Free Manatee recognizes the positive strides our community partnerships have made in building resiliency and overall health.This year, we are celebrating our 20th anniversary as Manatee County’s Prevention Coalition!
The weeklong celebration kicks off with a red ribbon takeover starting October 23 and Instagram competition. to win Amazon gift cards. Show us your red ribbons and win Amazon gift cards by tagging the event. On October 27, we will host a candlelight vigil at Bradenton Riverwalk Pavillion at 6:30. On October 28 our Red Ribbon Experience will be an interactive coomunity experience that includes amazing food, specialty alcohol-free drinks, an immersive art exhibition that showcases artists of all disciplines, collaborating to visually communicate the experiences associated with mental health/illness, trauma, substance abuse and recovery. We will present the 2021 Champions of Prevention Awards, and feature a visual and interactive display of the prevention strategies implemented in our county and highlights of partnerships with our coalition members.
Red Ribbon Week is a national campaign that serves as a catalyst to mobilize communities to educate youth and encourage substance misuse prevention.
