Friday, March 5 (8:00 am - 6:00 pm) — Saturday, March 6 (8:00 am - 12:30 pm): Conference
Count Everyone In
Featuring Rachel Lambert, Chase Mielke and the MidSchoolMath Team
What if math instruction could engage every student while providing the support each learner needs? This conference is focused on addressing that question within the larger challenge of the ‘mid school math cliff’, where the US has the sharpest decline in math achievement from 4th to 9th grade. The event opens with a MidSchoolMath signature immersion, plus keynotes from Dr. Rachel Lambert, Rethinking Disability and Mathematics, and Chase Mielke, The Affective Teacher, and 40+ breakout sessions exploring new ways to support individual needs while building stronger mathematical thinking and growth. Held in vibrant Santa Fe, this is more than professional development, it's a chance to put ‘Count Everyone In’ into practice and leave ready to make it happen. All attendees will receive complimentary copies of Rachel and Chase’s books.
Who should attend the Conference
Classroom teachers, academic coaches, school leaders and district administrators are all welcome to attend. The Conference is a stand-alone professional learning experience whether or not you currently use Core Curriculum by MidSchoolMath and brings together educators from public, charter and private schools, who use a wide range of curriculum products, textbooks and teaching practices that align to both Common Core State Standards and state-specific standards. Content will focus specifically on Grades 5 through 8 but will be relevant across other grades.
