We will be hosting the next Mentorship Mixer on Sunday, January 25th, from 1-4 pm in the MCAD in College Center (2nd Floor).
About this Event
We will be hosting the Fall Mentorship Mixer on Sunday, January 25th, from 1-4 pm at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design in the College Center. Interested in joining in? Here’s some info!
You will need to check in with the Security desk at MCAD to get a guest pass before entering the event. Be mindful that there is paid parking near MCAD, but street parking is also available.
MENTEES:
Prepare to show your work! Whether it’s on your phone, a tablet, or a laptop, bring a device to share your best work with mentors. To avoid any hiccups, you may want to download any relevant work or portfolios to access them offline, in case you run into challenges with the public wifi.
Complete a Mentee Application or sign up again! Even if you aren’t able to make it on September 7th, sign up, and we will invite you to future mentorship mixers.
Sign up on Eventbrite prior to attending, and be sure to select the correct corresponding ticket for prospective mentees.

Info: Come meet your fellow mentees, the mentors, and the Nice Moves team! Some light snacks, some awkward conversations, and an informal good time.

Introductions
Info: We will do a quick round of introductions of the Nice Moves team and our mentors!

Speed Round Interviews
Info: Mentors will meet for 8-10 minute round interviews to discuss goals, technical skills, and career options. Mentees can take this time to learn more about the industry, while mentors note who would make an ideal match for their expertise. Mentees are welcome to stay or go as they please once they have shown off their work.

Mentor Debrief
Info: At 4 pm, we will ask the mentees to remove themselves, while the mentors and the Nice Moves team discuss the options for matching mentors with their mentees.
