August is a glorious time in the park filled with blooming sunflowers, goldenrod, black-eyed Susans, and other wildflowers that attract pollinators and birds who are getting ready for fall and winter!
Stop by the Wildflower Festival for lots of fun and learning! There will be activities, crafts, and music at Hendrix Creek Patio. Also, get up close to some live Monarch butterflies making their way through their life cycle.
Guided Hike: 2pm, Guided Bike Ride: 3:30pm
Note: This event is meant to highlight the value of wildflowers here at the park, and does NOT include picking or removing plants from their habitat.
