2026 VTS Descendant Gala

About this Event

You're invited to a gala celebrating the Descendants of the Reparations Program at Virginia Theological Seminary. In addition to an evening full of dinner and dancing, this year we will host an exclusive screening of the independent film, Bridging Ground, that has documented the VTS Reparations Program for the last few years. Formal attire is suggested but not required.

The following morning, we will hold a symposium where Robin Proudie, founder of the Descendants of the St. Louis University Enslaved, Inc. (DSLUE), will share her expertise on establishing a descendant led 501(C)(3) non-profit organization.
