We are excited to welcome you to the 2026 Virginia Public Health Summit on Cancer, taking place on Tuesday, June 2 at the Richmond Marriott Downtown. New this year, we will kick off the summit with a scientific poster session and welcome reception on the evening of Monday, June 1 (also at the Richmond Marriott Downtown) offering an opportunity to connect, network, and engage ahead of the full program.This year’s focus is data to action; moving from community health improvement planning to implementation by equipping public health professionals with practical, scalable strategies to strengthen cancer prevention and outcomes across Virginia.
Building on the momentum of previous years, the summit continues to highlight cancer as a central public health priority while intentionally connecting it to broader efforts in chronic disease prevention, vaccination, environmental health, and community trust. Through dynamic panels, hands-on workshops, and interactive sessions, attendees will explore how to translate community health assessments and plans into meaningful, on-the-ground action, especially in the context of limited resources and evolving public health challenges.
