2026 VCU Summer Health Careers Camp (June 1-3)

Health Careers Immersion Camp at VCU Health Tappahannock: A free program for 10-12th grade high school students to discover health careers, earn certifications through hands-on activities, and collaborate with Rappahannock Community College to build a pathway to their chosen career.

Camp Location: VCU Health Tappahannock Hospital, 618 Hospital Rd, Tappahannock, VA 22560

Camp Dates: June 1st-3rd, 2026

Students will report to the hospital lobby for camp by 8 am, and the camp will end daily at 3 pm

Lunch and Scrubs are provided for students to wear with tennis shoes.

A student-specific schedule will be provided the week before camp starts. Students will gain exposure to career paths in imaging, respiratory therapy, nursing, surgery, rehabilitation, Ph*rm*cy, and medical laboratory sciences. They will also have the opportunity to complete certifications in Basic Life Support and Stop the Bleed. BLS requires didactic work before camp.

Registration is limited and each parental guardian will be contacted in the order of registration to confirm attendance.

Registration Opens May 1st at 6 pm and closes when spots are filled.
