About this Event
The celebration will take place on January 28, 2026, from 5:30 PM-8:30 PM at Greek Islands Downtown Chicago (200 S Halsted St, Chicago, IL 60661).
Vasilopita (pronounced vah-see-LO-pee-tah) is the Greek new year’s cake that has a lucky coin. It is tradition for each family to have their own vasilopita and a piece is cut for each family member. If the coin is in your piece, you have good luck for the rest of the year.
Registration Information
This event is free for HBA members who renew their 2026 membership on or before the event! Non-members can attend for $25. Admission includes appetizers and vasilopita.
