2026 Taste of Iowa City Presented by Nicolet Bank

Taste of Iowa City, presented by Nicolet National Bank, returns to the Iowa City Downtown District on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, from 4:00–8:00 p.m.
Now in its 18th year, Taste of Iowa City celebrates the incredible culinary diversity of Downtown and Northside restaurants, giving the community the opportunity to sample menu items from 35+ local bars and restaurants. As part of Engaged Hawkeyes Week, it's the perfect chance for new students and longtime residents alike to explore Iowa City's vibrant local dining scene.
Tickets are $1 each and sold in strips of five. Redeem your tickets for sample-sized portions at participating restaurants throughout the event. Tickets go on sale online beginning August 1 and will also be available for purchase at ticket booths at the event.
The University of Iowa will also provide a limited number of FREE TICKETS FOR STUDENTS. Students can receive their complimentary tickets by presenting a valid student ID at the University of Iowa booth on the Pentacrest while supplies last.
