2026 Summer Strings Camp — Sioux City Symphony Youth Orchestra

The Sioux City Symphony Youth Orchestra is thrilled to host our 5th annual Summer Strings Camp — and it's completely TUITION-FREE thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and donors! The Sioux City Symphony Youth Orchestra Strings Camp culminates in a performance
Young string players of all levels are invited to spend a weekend learning from SCSYO conductors, staff, and professional musicians of the Sioux City Symphony. The camp concludes with an unforgettable side-by-side performance on the Orpheum stage alongside SCSO musicians.
When: Friday–Sunday, August 7–9
Daily: 10:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Cost: FREE — tuition-free!
Two tracks are available:
Upper Camp — for students who've played at least two full years. Includes technique classes, small-group coaching, string orchestra rehearsals, and optional private lessons with our symphony musicians.
Junior Strings Camp — an abbreviated schedule for beginning players entering grades 4–6.
