2026 Summer Fellowship Symposium
About this Event
The Nancy M. Bruce Center for Design and Material Culture is pleased to host our 7th annual Summer Fellowship Symposium on Friday, September 18 at 9:00 AM. This year we will have students presenting from multiple fellowship programs hosted through the center.
The , in partnership with the Chipstone Foundation, is in it's 7th year and offers undergraduate UW–Madison students an opportunity to conduct research in one of the three pillars of the center's: textiles, material culture, and design.
With the support of Dean Soyeon Shim, StartingBlock and the Wisconsin Entrepreneurship Hub have partnered with the School of Human Ecology to present the first as a pilot program within the center’s Design Pillar.
Finally, this year we have begun a cross-departmental fellowship, for UW–Madison students to engage with historic design and architecture in collaboration with Prof. Anna Andrzejewski, Frank Lloyd Wright Professor of Modern American Architecture
