2026 Serra Adult Services Professional Development Day (April 23, 2026)

The Serra Adult Services Committee invites you to join us for Building Community Connections, our 7th annual Professional Development Day.

📍 Location: San Diego Central Library, 9th Floor Shiley Special Events Suite

(330 Park Blvd., San Diego, CA 92101)

🅿️ Parking: Event parking available for $10

🍽️ Lunch will be provided

This workshop is open to all classifications working in Serra libraries and current library school students. Please obtain supervisor approval before registering.

🎤 Keynote Speaker: Adolfo Guzman-Lopez, Author and Reporter

Adolfo Guzman-Lopez is a veteran Southern California public radio reporter for LAist 89.3 (formerly KPCC) who has covered education, arts, and local issues since 2000. A former award-winning journalist, he is also a poet and author known for covering Chicano culture, immigration, and personal stories, including his book California Southern: writing from the road, 1992-2025
