2026 Resiliency Fair

Taking place in downtown Denver, the Resiliency Fair will include a dynamic keynote speaker, case studies and lessons learned, an expert panel discussion, and networking opportunities for landscape architects and architects.

From 1:30 to 2 pm all participants are invited to a meet and greet at the Alliance Center. This is an opportunity for you to meet passionate folks who represent a diversity of governmental agencies and design firms.

Info: Anne Miller speaks about the state's resiliency framework as it relates to wildfires and drought, as well as the framework's 5-year update in progress. (https://coresiliency.colorado.gov/colorado-resiliency-framework). We'll learn about resiliency hubs and how they factor into community resilience beyond regular building occupants. Anne Miller, AICP is the Director of the Colorado Resiliency Office (CRO) in the Department of Local Affairs. She has over 25 years of community development experience in the public, private, and non-profit sectors. Anne has worked in Colorado and across the nation to build adaptive and sustainable communities. She is a founding member of the American Planning Association’s Sustainable Communities Division. Anne serves as an ex-officio member of the Colorado Wildfire Resiliency Code Board and a board member of the Colorado Natural Disaster Mitigation Enterprise. CEUs available!

Info: Architects and landscape architects need to work together to most effectively address both
types of challenges. Given how recently drought and wildfire risks have increased, both
professions are still in the learning stages of learning how to adapt and can benefit from this
event's goal of preparing attendees to understand what's at stake before we start designing. We have compiled a panel of local experts to give their diverse perspectives on policy and
materiality of buildings and landscape must change in order to better address drought and
