Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne (CTSFW), will observe Holy Week with Passion Choral Vespers featuring Heinrich Schütz’s St. Matthew Passion sung by the CTSFW Schola Cantorum and soloists under the direction of Kantor Kevin Hildebrand. The service is open to the public and will take place in Kramer Chapel on Sunday, March 29, at 4:00 p.m. ET. If you cannot attend in person, you can livestream the service at ctsfw.edu/DailyChapel.This Vespers service, which begins Holy Week, includes this major composition by Lutheran Kantor Heinrich Schütz, in which the Passion narrative from Matthew’s Gospel is vividly set to music.
