2026 NYC Tartan Week Mòd Sponsored by Isle of Harris Distillery

NYC Tartan Week, Isle of Harris Distillery, An Communn Gàidhealach Ameireaganach, the New York Caledonian Club, and Weebox are pleased to bring you the Fourth Annual NYC Tartan Week Mòd and Gaelic Workshop Presentations.

The deadline to register to compete is March 6th at midnight. Each entry must indicate in which competition they intend to compete, by emailing . Competitors should notify the organizers as soon as possible if they withdraw from the competition. Registration for the morning workshops are 40.00. It is $30.00 per competition for the afternoon events. There is no fee to be a spectator at the competition.

This event will be hosted by Mòd Gold Medalist and BBC Alba’s SpeakGaelic presenter, Joy Dunlop.

Mòd Competition details:

Solo singing competition - Each competitor will perform one song.* The winner will be crowned 2026 New York City Tartan Week Mòd Champion and win a prizeof $125, sponsored by the New York Caledonian Club. They will also receive an invitation to sing at the Pre-Parade Ceilidh and at Bryant Park the morning of the parade;

Poetry Recitation competition - Each competitor will perform one poem.* The winner of this competition will receive a 12 month subscription to WeeBox, sponsored by WeeBox.

Vocal Harmony Competition - Each group will perform one song. Groups can be of any size from small ensembes to choirs*The winner of this competition win a prize of $125, sponsored by the New York Caledonian Club. They will also receive an invitation to perform at the Pre-Parade Ceilidh and at Bryant Park before the parade, with Joy Dunlop.
