2026 MTA Capitol Day

9:30 AM: Registration at President Abraham Lincoln Hotel (701 E. Adams St., Springfield)

The activities are still being confirmed for the morning and afternoon of Capitol Day, but plan on hearing from relevant state agencies and for time to meet with your legislators at the Capitol.

5:00-6:30 PM: Legislative Reception, featuring open bar and appetizers. This will be a great opportunity to interact with your legislators and continue to build relationships with them. Dinner with fellow MTA members on your own will follow (a list of restaurants will be provided).

Registration is required. The cost of $105.00 per person includes lunch and appetizers & open bar at the reception (members are responsible for booking their own hotel rooms-see below).

A block of hotel rooms for the night of May 7 has been reserved at the Abraham Lincoln Hotel. The cost is $169 plus tax per night, you can book online here or by calling (217) 544-8800, ask for Reservations and the group code is MET. The deadline for booking for this block and rate is April 22. There are also limited rooms available for May 6 in the block if you plan to come the day before.
