About this Event
The William E. Pannell Center for Black Church Studies in partnership with The Center for Restorative Justice, invites you to the 2026 Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration at Fuller Theological Seminary. This year’s theme, “Narratives of Justice,” invites us to reflect on the important stories and experiences that shape our understanding of justice in our communities. The event will begin with a chapel service on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at 10:00 AM in Travis Auditorium, during which we will have the honor of hearing from Dr. Phil Allen, a distinguished speaker known for his insightful contributions to discussions on justice and faith.
Following this, we will convene on Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 6:00-8:00 PM, for a thoughtful dinner and panel discussion to bring together respected elders from the community. They will share their invaluable perspectives and personal narratives surrounding justice in Pasadena and the Greater Los Angeles Community, fostering a deeper understanding of the challenges and triumphs we face together. We invite you to join us in this significant occasion as we collectively explore and honor the commitment to the fight for justice in our lives and communities.
