2026 Metrolina Trial Garden Open House

Please Note: Ticket registration opens on May 22 at 4:00PM. This is a free event but tickets are required for entry. This event is only for the trial garden area, no other parts of the greenhouse are open to attendees.

o Are you a gardener, plant parent or plant lover/enthusiast or just enjoy the great outdoors? Visit our trial garden and tour over 2,000 plants across three acres, giving you the opportunity to see new plant varieties before they are sold in garden centers in 2027. We'll have experts located throughout the garden to answer questions. Your feedback is important to us and is part of our selection process for new items: You'll have the opportunity to tell us which plants are a must have for 2027 and beyond, by voting for your favorite plants in the garden! You have the power to influence what you see in your favorite garden center in the future.

o This event is free, but tickets are required to attend as spots are limited. We have two entry times available:10:00AM; 11:30AM. Children are welcome and do not require a ticket. They can be registered onsite during check in. Children must be supervised at all times by their accompanying adults.

o Please note that the trial gardens are outside, spread across 3 acres with limited shade. Please be aware that friendly pollinators (including bees) are present in the garden. Come prepared with comfortable shoes, sun protection, water, and any necessary items in case of an allergy.
