Expanding into international markets can feel complex—but you don’t have to figure it out alone.

This full-day, in-person event is designed to go beyond theory and give you practical, actionable guidance you can use immediately.


What You’ll Experience

Welcome and Resource Introductions and Overview (9:00 AM – 10:00 AM)

Export resource partners attending include U.S. Small Business Administration Maine District Office, Export Import Bank (ExIm), Maine Small Business Development Center, Maine International Trade Center (MITC), Coastal Enterprises Inc (CEI), U.S. Export Assistance Center (USEAC), SCORE Maine.

Interactive Small Group Breakouts (10:00 AM – 11:30 AM)

This is the core of the event.

Participants will join small-group discussions led by export experts from partner organizations. Every 20 minutes, you’ll have the option to rotate to a different group—giving you exposure to multiple perspectives and resources.

These sessions are designed to:

  • Address your specific business challenges
  • Provide tailored guidance
  • Connect you directly with the right resource partners


Exporter Panel (12:30 PM)

Hear directly from experienced exporters as they share:

  • Lessons learned from entering global markets
  • Challenges they’ve faced—and how they overcame them
  • Practical advice for businesses at any stage


Focused Presentations with Real-World Applications

Identifying Global Markets (1:15 PM)

Learn how to evaluate and select the right international markets using data, strategy, and real-world examples.

Logistics of Global Markets (2:00 PM)

Understand the movement of goods across borders, including shipping, compliance, and supply chain considerations.

Export Financing (2:45 PM)

Explore funding options, risk mitigation tools, and financial strategies to support your international growth.

Each session will incorporate case studies and practical business scenarios to help you apply what you learn.
