Taste of 4-H *STEM Edition* (mock meetings) will also be hosted at the Citadel Mall, just a few doors down from the TEACH Center, at our partner . Tickets are $15. Scholarships available. Please email [email protected] for more information.

All workshops and mock meetings run for 50 minutes every hour from 10am-4pm. Click the registration button for complete schedule.

We will be hosting TWO competitions this year. Individual youth interested in both contests may pay one fee at registration using promo code CHAMPION. The BOGO is for the same child and is NOT transferable. Unauthorized promo code use will forfeit registration. See below for contest/competition rules:


🏅🗒️ Show us what you’re made of at our first Lowcountry 4-H Poster Contest!

A 4-H member may submit ONE entry. Registration is $20 per entry and includes a 4-H membership and official T-Shirt for the 2026-2027 program year.

Your poster can fall under one of the following categories (note: all topics will be judged together, not as individual categories):

  • An educational poster relating to any area of Agriculture or Animals/Livestock (Goats, Poultry, Horses, Swine, Cattle, or Rabbits)
  • A call-to-action poster relating to any area of Agriculture or Animals/Livestock (Goats, Poultry, Horses, Swine, Cattle, or Rabbits)
  • A poster highlighting the 4-H member’s experience in at least one 4-H project under any program area (Agriculture/Animals, STEM, Civic Engagement & Leadership Development, or Healthy Living). Poster must emphasize WHAT the 4-H member did and WHY it matters.

Your poster must promote 4-H and include the 4-H emblem. Follow the criteria specified by national guidelines regarding use of the 4-H emblem.

Do not place text or other images over or on top of the 4-H emblem. No photo, drawing, symbol, word, or other figure or object may be placed on or obscure the 4-H emblem. The official colors should not be altered. The clover stem should turn to the right only. The clover should not be slanted.

Posters may be produced by any medium, such as watercolor, ink, crayon, pencil, marker, or paint, but cannot be 3 dimensional, and need to measure at least 14 x 22 inches. Designs must be original.

Well-known cartoon figures cannot be used because they are copyrighted, such as Marvel superheroes, Disney characters, Lego characters, etc.

Name, address, county, age, grade, and email address of the 4-H member should be legibly printed on the upper left corner of the back of the poster.

All decisions made by the judges will be final. Submissions that qualify for upcoming fair competitions (Orangeburg, Coastal Carolina, State, etc) will receive formal recommendations from contest staff. The awards include a rosette and the following prizes: 1st -- $25 2nd -- $15 3rd -- $10
Registration deadline is August 31, 2026. Posters must be dropped off at the TEACH Center at the Citadel Mall on Friday, September 18, 2026 from 10a-2:30p OR Saturday, September 19, 2026 between 9:15a-10:15a. Please note: space is limited. Register today!

Do you have what it takes to be the next 4-H cooking champion?

🍽️🔥 Calling all Junior (ages 9-13)/Senior (ages 14-19) 4-H'ers!

Gather your team of 2-4 members and bring your best talent to the Lowcountry 4-H Cooking Competition! 🏆🍳Registration is $20 per teammate and includes a 4-H membership and official T-Shirt for the 2026-2027 program year.

Teams will demonstrate Food Safety, present on nutrition and process, and have forty minutes to prepare and plate a dish highlighting local cuisine served with a starch and a vegetable. Plates will be scored on cooking technique, sanitation and safety, as well as presentation.

More details and a judging rubric will be provided to teams once they have completed their registration.

The competition is open to teams of two to four with one adult chaperone per team. Contestants must be ages 9-18 as of 1/1/2026, so 19-year-olds who were 18 on 1/1/2026 and 4-H members during the 2025-2026 program year are eligible to compete.

The winning team will earn a spot at a lesson with a local chef as well as registration covered to compete in the South Carolina 4-H Team Cooking Challenge next Spring!

Refund statement: Full payment is due upon registration. No refunds will be issued within four weeks of the start of the event. Refunds for Sponsorships MUST be requested in writing to [email protected] or via the Eventbrite system.

Membership requirement: Current 4-H membership IS REQUIRED for participation in either competition/contest, but it is not required for participation in workshops or mock meetings, but you must preregister.

Custodial Care: Please note that the 4-H competitions, the TEACH Center workshops and Taste of 4-H STEM Edition (mock meetings) at Reforge Charleston, and their coordinators, do not assume custodial care of youth in attendance. Adults (parents, guardians, volunteers, coaches, or chaperones) must be present for the supervision of youth participants.
