Today, our mission is as vital as it was a century ago: to enrich lives through nature. We humbly offer nature as a balm for the soul on the pages of the superb writers and illustrators to be honored on April 13.

Join us to celebrate the winning authors at the centenary celebration of the John Burroughs Medal.

The Literary Awards encourage and promote outstanding writing about the natural world to increase engagement in nature through these works.
