2026 Lions Cup Moot

Qualification

• In order to register for and qualify to compete at the Lions Cup Moot, both participants of each team must meet the following criteria:
• Neither teammate has graduated before January 1st, 2026
• To be eligible to compete, a Paralegal must be currently enrolled in a recognized post-secondary institution.
• Neither teammate is or has been enrolled in a J.D. or L.L.B. program in Canada;
• If either teammate is or has been enrolled in any equivalent international law program, said teammate must provide the committee with the rejection notice from the National Committee on Accreditation (NCA) stating their refusal to recognize the international law degree.
• Students from two different schools are permitted to enroll together for the 2026 Lions Cup Moot. Participants must disclose their schools in the accommodation section of the registration form and are required to choose one school that they will represent throughout the tournament.
• If both participants are university students, they can be either undergraduate, masters, or PhD students in any program, except for those enrolled in a Masters or PhD in Law.

Note: The organizers are not responsible for checking the qualifications of those who certify that they meet the above criteria. Should a participant believe that another participant does not meet the above, they must submit a non-anonymous complaint to [email protected] and set out the reason and evidence behind their belief.

Ticket Information

Individual registration is not permitted. Please have all information relating to each team member ready upon purchase. You may not purchase more than one ticket per team in a single transaction.

Please note that the Lions Cup Moot organizers reserve the right to limit the number of teams participating from each school.

Out of Ontario and Quebec

If you are attending from a school outside of Ontario or Quebec, you will receive a 25% discount on ticket prices. Please email us to receive the code for this discount before purchasing a ticket. DO NOT purchase a regular ticket, as we will not be able to issue you a refund.

You may not share this code with anyone else, and if you do receive the code from someone at your institution, you are still required to submit proof of enrolment before purchasing this ticket. If you do not send proof of enrolment prior to purchasing a ticket, y our ticket will not be honoured and you will not be registered for the competition.
