Doors open at 6:15. Bring your own drink containers, but no alcohol.
What to Expect:
BEGINNER DANCERS - At 6:30, Victoria will go over a few basic beginner steps that are in lots of dances. Around 6:40 we will start teaching dances.
THE REST OF THE EVENING - We teach Beginner to High Beginner level mostly, with Improver level dances sometimes added. We try to be slightly flexible and adjust on the fly, but we don't take requests or suggestions the night of.
This is a DANCE PARTY WITH INSTRUCTION, which differs from a dance class. We will demo the dance, break it down and teach the steps and do some walkthroughs. Then we will jump in and DANCE to music. But we will NOT spend 30 minutes drilling you over and over on the same steps.
We are not a dance performance club, and we are not practicing for some performance at a parade nor recital nor flash mob! We are here to have FUN, meet people, and dance till we're tired. We typically teach and dance around 8-10 songs in 1.5 hours. We promise; you will learn lots of dances if you just show up consistently.
So bring your water bottle, sports drink or Big Gulp and be ready to dance!
