The winter of 2025-26 has been brutal so far. After all the effort put into shoveling snow or fighting the way through bitter cold and freezing winds, the last thing anyone wants to think about is what to make for dinner. The Factoryville Fire Company Auxiliary (FFCA) has the perfect solution to that problem. From Friday, February 20th through April 3rd, FFCA offers the opportunity to purchase freshly made, square (Old Forge Style) pizzas in red or white varieties. Each pizza is served piping-hot, straight from the Fire Company’s pizza oven.
Plain pizzas cost $14 each, and a variety of additional toppings are available at the cost of $1 per topping. Red Pizza topping options include pepperoni, mushrooms, broccoli, extra cheese, or onion. White Pizza topping options include broccoli or onions. Quarts of homemade Halushki are also available for purchase if requested a week in advance.
Pizza orders may be called into FFCA at (570) 945-5769, beginning at 3:00 p.m. each Friday afternoon. Pizzas may also be ordered on a walk-in basis.
All pizzas should be picked up at the Factoryville Fire Company, located at 412 College Avenue, Factoryville. Customers should pick up their pizzas using the side door located on the right of the building, along the driveway.
Weather permitting, the FFCA Lenten Pizza Sale will take place each week through Good Friday, April 3rd.
All proceeds from this fundraising event benefit FFCA, which eventually provides direct support for the Factoryville Fire Company. FFCA funds have been used to purchase firefighting equipment and to cover the day-to-day costs of this all-volunteer fire company.
The Factoryville Fire Company is always looking for volunteers, both adults and teenage (junior) members. If firefighting is a little too intense or physically demanding for you, maybe the FFC Auxiliary is where you belong.
